Generations Cult invades Tempe, AZ and ASU campus
The cult continues to identify and pray upon young, impressionable minds and kids away from home. Word is out that the evil that is Generations Church has invaded Tempe, Arizona, to take advantage of the young college population at Arizona State University.
If you have information about this move or have attended a "service" or cell meeting or encounter or are suffering from the cult's relentless psychological recruiting tactics, please post your stories here. I will keep you anonymous if you so desire. You may also send your stories and experiences to me at john@generationscult.com

This is a shame with what the church is doing. My now ex attended this church for quite some time and was involved in everything possible. He was even going to do a internship that cost 500$. When he started going to the church I noticed a change and I noticed him and I never talked much anymore. We were engaged at the time, things started going down heel for the relationship. I flew down to yuma to see him to figure out if things r going to work out. I ended up getting a new diamond ring and he re proposed. I went to the generations church and it seemed like a rave. I felt very unconfortable. I grew up in church. And I knew there was sometthing wrong with this one. I ended up going back home and once again things just fell apart, engagment was off, I heard from him maybe once a day for 5 minutes. He told me he had to put the church first. Eventually feelings faded. He was going on facebook and talkin to other girls. We were suppose to get married and I was suppose to move down in december. We were together 2 and a half yrs. I found this website and confronted him about it. He called me a liar. But yet he stopped going to church, but he is meaner then cat poop. He's getting out of the marines soon and he's planning all kinds of things out to move to colorado and he couldn't have the decency to let me know what's going on. I'm. Heartbroken. I know people at the church got into his head and it worked and now we're not together.

ASU's student body is one of the largest in the nation, its a good business tactic. That, and the minds there are more malleable. I've yet to see them on the UofA Campus...

I just recently moved to Yuma. I meet my boyfriend in the Marine Corps and we both got out. He is from Yuma and Im from California. His family goes to Generations and they introduced me to this craziness of a church. I was kind of taken back by the loud light show/preacher act. I grew up in a catholic church and let me just say wow! Generations is freakn nuts. I love my boyfriend but there is no way im going to be apart if that circus act. I only go like once a month cause I respect his family but everytime I go I feel the need to laugh at the spectical. Don’t get me wrong believing in God is beautiful and pure but how you worship him is not by taking peoples money and telling them to be in a "cell" or whatever. Sorry but I would rathr spend my time living a productive life than be stuck doing what someone says is the way of god. So pretty much they can suck it.

people like this make me sick. they ruined my relationship with my ex. i never thought something like this would be the reason to tear us apart. they brainwashed him and tricked him into giving them money. I did some research on the church and told him about it but he wouldnt listen me. He changed a lot. but everything between us is now gone. if your reading this austin, i still love you no matter what!

I emailed President Crowe (sp?) about this group being on the ASU campus and my emai was re-routed to the person in charges of Student Life. The email reply I received was that as long as they follow all the rules of the University there is no action that the ASU will be taking to dismiss then from the University. So Rich and Missy can spew their Cult propaganda to all the students and employees of ASU.

I started a new job about 3 years ago. During training, I had a kind girl (she's married to one of the leaders in the church)come up to me, and we started talking. One subject came up, and that was church. I told her that I would like to go back to church, but I don't believe in tithing to the church (because, well, there are other organizations out there who do the will of God who need that type of support, and frankly, if Jesus didn't get paid, neither should pastors). She then told me I should visit Generations, and that in the Bible, Malachi Chapter 3, Verse 10 said we are to tithe to the church. Of course, I didn't want to argue with her because she was nice about it, however, when I got home the first thing I did was look up that verse. And this is what the King James version says:
"Bring ye all the tithes into the STOREHOUSE..."
I chuckled to myself after reading that. Their methods seem very fishy, and I have had generation church goers plead with me to go. I have been curious because I want to know what the hype is all about.
And to reply to what Deanna wrote, I'm so sorry that happened to you. If the church is pushing that they should be first, right off the bat, that should be telling their followers something... GOD should be first... but I'm feeling they've twisted that around too. They're probably saying, well we worship God at the church, so therefore, church shouldcome first. This isn't the first time I've heard Generations being called a cult... long before 2006, Gunnery Sergeant, we've all been saying this...
Went to your website, and Gunny, I don't think you should have to change your name... once a Marine always a Marine, right? I'm so glad someone is trying to shine light on something this serious... 'cause, Lord knows, I don't have the guts to. So thank you.

Thank you for what you are doing. I was a spirit filled Christian before I joined the Corps. Now I am not. Not because the Marines, but because I learned to research things for myself. Pastors have no problem living in nice houses and driving nice cars, when people in their congregation cannot even afford to eat. May you life on this earth be surrounded with joy and good people. Once again thank you for remaining always faithful to yourself and others. People should not be able to hide behind the protective shield of religion as they manipulate people and ruin others lives. Some people at Generations are for real, but most are not for real. It like that at all churches. The truth is that Ps. rich is not nice. He has said so himself. The love for people has declined and so has attendance. We are asked for money to buy a building and no building. Then we ate asked for more money to buy Phoenix a building. I do wonder what is going on, I noticed recently that there is a disclaimer saying that they reserve the right to do what they want with the money. It's on the tithe and offering envelope. They live like rich people. They must get paid a lot!!!
The pastor sister in law was a pastor at the church. She dared to speak against Rich and now she is nowhere tombe seen. Leaders disappear and the "12" is a revolving door.
My husband works so hard to serve God, we are blessed and that why I stay. He leads the family. But these people don't really care. They have lost the love. It shows in the attendance. People leave, fall and no one cares.

Same story here in the Philippines now. May God expose everything that needs to be expose! G12 in Philippines was supervised by Ptr.Rich. He got his "12". Many Christians felt they are unfaithful to the Lord because they still don't have "12 disciples".
=( It's like a Law to the churches who adapted g12 system.

I agree to G12 Observer, that is what I felt too but the Lord made it clear that the fruit He mentioned that it doesnt refer to disciples but to the fruit of the Spirit.
Though I didnt leave G12 coz i felt compassion on my fellow members to change their mindset and go back to the simplicity of the Gospel. There is nothing wrong with G12 but the problem are the people who do G12, and made abuse with the scriptures especially Paul's writing. Peter was right about them he said: 2 Peter 3:15-16 (NIV)
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. [16] He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Btw, i think Rich change the name of his church to destiny, i believe it was patterned after the name of his 12's church in the Philippines. I have no against Rich personally coz he is not my enemy- we are not fighting against flesh and blood. I pray that Rich would be delivered from this problem and may the Lord bring justice to whom justice are due.

Hermeneutics is a word unfamiliar to G12. With this goes quoting God's word out of context and for gaining at the expense of others.
I personally know the situation in Davao City with the G12 campus church of former pastor Noel.. and I sometimes wish I could get everyone here to sit down and have a conversation over coffee...G12 observer, I was in the philippines when you made your post...lol I wonder if I ran into you personally while I visited from the USA.
