Marine commanders who belong to Generations are threat to force protection
The following e-mail highlights the threat Generations Church poses to force protection. When senior Marine commanders follow the cultic teachings of G12 over military policy, you have to question whether they are using their positions in unethical and dangerous ways. Any military commander who is a member of Generations Church should be investigated for "conduct unbecoming an officer" or abuse of authority. Certainly, at the very least, one should question their ability to think clearly!

As a former MALS-13 AVI 610 Marine, I know exactly what you mean when you say Generations is a cult. They are taking advantage of many young naive Marines that don't know where to turn once they no longer have mom and dad to advise them. They are taking advantage of the impressionable. I considered this church a serious problem, concerning the amount of money they extract from these young people. The integrity of the command has also been compromised by higher ranking Marines that encourage others to participate in this church with them. Many, many times I had heated discussions with fellow Marines that considered this church more of an obligation than their duty as a Marine, only to have my authority reduced by my Generations attending superiors.

Good for you trying to protect your Marines. it is a shame that that place can get into their minds. It always amazed me by the Marines that would show up there in their cammies. That to me is unheard of. I can't count the amount of times when rich spoke about being obedient to our jobs, and then to encourage the servicemembers to do whatever they want to. I guess it is all about what rich wants, not the Word. I cannot wait for the day when this place is totally exposed for what it really is.

I am a credentialed minister with a reputable church denomination that requires a higher education degree. I have a PhD and am a pastor and Christian Counselor. During one particular Narcotics Anonymous (NA), a member announced that he/she had been attending Generations Church. Having a secular background as a narcotics law enforcement officer, I noted something strange on the NA member's testimony. She appeared to be under the influence of something. I strongly recommend that our local Yuma police agencies look into this church....and the IRS closely audit the church's financial books. I am 99% sure this Generation Church's pastor & wife are phonies. All you have to do is to look at their faces and dress styles.

Being phonies, this thing has lasted a long time. Consider the fact that when they were still back in 1998-2002ish (my dates might be off, I just remember being in high school when Rich was preaching at Kairos or whatever the youth church was called at the time), they preached similar things.
It may not have been as hardcore as it is now. It may not have been as obvious as it is now, but the roots/seeds of it were seen even way back then.
As for narcotics, I remember something I heard from my mother (I haven't been in Yuma over 7 years though my folks live there and this is somewhat of an area of interest for me) that a child way back in the early 2000s was encouraged to STOP taking their meds.
Yes, narcs do not include things like strattera (was that even on the market back then?), fluoxetine, and other anti-depressants/anti-pyschotics, however, if they were encouraging children to stop taking drugs...I doubt they were encouraging them to take other drugs, narcotics or otherwise.

We are all familiar with traditional cults such as the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses. There are, however, other groups with cultic characteristics that do not fit the same profile as the traditional cults. Sometimes called "abusive churches" or even "Bible-based cults," they appear outwardly orthodox in their doctrinal beliefs. What distinguishes Generations & these groups or churches from genuine orthodox Christianity is their abusive, cultic-like methodology and philosophy of ministry.

No more will we waste time on our own vain pleasures and indulgences. No more will we allow the egos and prides and traditions and philosophies of Man to divide us. We will love Truth and settle for nothing less. We will learn to sniff out and purge compromise and half-truths. We will force out of us every bad dark thing by being completely filled with the Bread of Life. We will be nourished by Truth. We will be armored by Truth. We will swing the Sword of Truth in big wide circles and pierce the hearts of anyone near. We will fight and not grow weary. We will charge forward and never retreat. Should one slip, others will lift him up. Should one fall, others will take his place.
No more. It ends now. There are those that are already equipped to fight and we will enlist them, organize them and send them back out to recruit more. We'll fight with love to awaken our brethren who are asleep and get them in fighting form. We will push back the darkness by speaking nothing but TRUTH. It is rare and precious - and only Jesus is the source. Every man-made thing will burn off in the fire. Only Jesus can be trusted.
Those on the front lines that have proven themselves good and faithful servants and stewards of their talents will be provisioned with a hundred times their own needs so that they can feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty as they see any need. We will pray and encourage and support them and recruit more. We will always strive to continue growing up into Jesus, who is the Head.
