Cult pastor Rich Witmer advises Marines to get out

Generations Church is all about money. In fact, he thinks Marines should leave the Corps because being a Marine isn't lucrative enough for his taste.

The transcript below demonstrates Rich's unprofessional arrogance as he suggests that people should avoid the Marine Corps in favor of getting rich. His comments further prove the misled monetary focus of his false "Christian" teachings.

People don't join the Marine Corps to get rich. Instead, we join for the Honor, Courage, and Commitment that makes the Marine Corps what it is. Joining the Marines is a calling that is answered by few. However, if it were up to the cult pastor of Generations Church, nobody would join the Marines because it's not "lucrative" enough.

It's also humorous how Rich suggests my PFC should get out of the Marine Corps because he's not making enough money, yet he uses a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant as an example of being on a "different level" and for "not doing too bad." Where does Rich think the Master Guns started?

The cult leader's comments here are embarrassing, shameful, and sickening.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RICH: We can't say that, as a Marine, we're solely interested in your financial future because unless you're going to be moving up in rank or if you're gonna go to school and become an officer, or if you're gonna have some other investments, it's not gonna be lucrative. We have a guy here who just retired from the Marine Corps three years ago. He's a Master Guns -- that's a little different level, he's not doing too bad.

JOHN: Sure. He's also invested 25 years in the Marine Corps. He started out where PFC (bleeped name) is right now.

RICH: He (the PFC) is either gonna have to get promoted, or get out. Would you counsel him that way? Would you say, "Hey, financially the Marine Corps is not going to support you and your family, and so it would be better for you to get out. Take the talents that you have and go work somewhere else."?

JOHN: No. I disagree with that assessment. The Marine Corps provides to him the things that he needs in order to maintain his family. However, he's giving part of it away. Now I'm not challenging his desire and faith to tithe. What I'm challenging is how much he's tithing.

RICH: From strictly a financial perspective, staying in the Marines isn't a good move unless you're going to put yourself in a place to make money.

Well, it's obvious this person has never served his country. If he did, he missed the big picture. If we all did what he says we would all be broke and living under a different flag.
He sure uses the benefits of servicemen and women who serve to ensure his ability to take advantage of what this country has to offer.
We need less so called pastors and more elbo grease jockies who are willing to speak the truth and serve the real needs of the people. I have more respect for the street preacher than a preacher who makes his living sucking the last finances out of his sheep. Isn't he suppose to be a Sheppard to these people? This preacher needs to step up to the plate and get a job as well as preach if he needs money so badly. If he takes the money for personal use and lives better than the people who gave it, he's a thief and doesn't believe in what he is professing to be. I have seen too many "Men and Women" of God rip off Gods people. If he believes in what he professes, taking advantage of Gods people will get him a place in hell. There's just too many people hiding behind the Word of God. One day He is going to kick butt and take names.

This kind of mentality only flies in America. Most people from "non-prosperous" countries would scoff at this kind of arrogance. I'm thankful my Jesus makes room for all people of all economical backgrounds. Death to this guys american 'god'. Money is not life. Many people in our country are thankful for the things they have. Why do we NEED any more than to take care of our families and enjoy the life we have. If you can make more... spread the love. This guy is nuts.

In regards to Mr. Morgan... I am currently researching this word of faith church in kennewick. I currently attended a church service there and was disgusted by the way the service is being held. I have a loved one who attends and goes to the weekly classes and from the begining i have felt that she has been part of a cult. Any other information would be much appreciated.

The church in Kennewick is the same type as the church in Yuma. Their about taking money out of your pocket and putting it in there pocket and using God to do this. It's a high pressure Cult that prays on young people there G12 model is nothing more than a pyramid scram and can not be backed up by the Word of God. Stay away from this Place God warns us about these false teachings. People are deceived who attend this Kennewick Cult.
